No derradeiro Pleno de 2006
Varios membros do Fervedoiro asistiron o pasado venres 29 ao Pleno Municipal, o derradeiro do ano. Entre os puntos salientábeis da orde do día estaba o de nomear "oficialmente" as rúas do Espadenal.
Lembramos que, cando a decisión de outorgarlle o nome de Xosé Raído Patelas ao Centro Sociocultural e Xuvenil, acordárase (sabémolo por estar publicado e recoñecido polos propios concelleiros) nomear á rúa na que se sitúa como 
Xohán Xesús González, o ilustre noso veciño que tamén procura un oco no rueiro compostelán da man do Fervedoiro.
Inaugurado oficialmente e debidamente publicitado o acto no que se lle poñía a praca identificativa ao edificio, seguíuse (como se viña facendo) obviando o nome acordado para a rúa na que se ubica o inmoble. O retrouxo empregado en bandos e cartelaría fixérase xa popular entre a veciñanza: "...sito no Espadenal". O pasado venres, o goberno municipal decidíu rachar con esta inxustiza histórica e outorgarlle o nome dunha daquelas rúas a ...Don Olimpio Arca (mestre cuntiense, coñecido e recoñecido). Mais tamén, iso si, establecer definitivamente o nome do abogado de Sebil (Xohán Xesús González, non Sánchez, como teimaba en repetir algún dos que o venres "tomou" a palabra) no lugar que decidiron que lle correspondía. Agardamos que finalmente se execute o acordo o máis axiña posíbel e, por pedir, con semellante solemnidade á despregada no acto de inauguración do CSX "Xosé Raído Patelas". Iso si, non cremos preciso, aínda que sabemos que a nosa opinión non vai ser tida en conta, o "exhibicionismo económico" amosado aquel domingo de festa rachada.
Por outra banda, e se o anterior vos parecía novidade agarrádevos agora, un dos puntos tratados o pasado venres atinxía a escritos remitidos ao Pleno. Si, non sabemos se foi o "espíritu navideño" ou se finalmente dende agora as cousas van mudar definitivamente e o cumprimento da normalidade se tornará habitual (así o desexamos!). Até o de agora, ningún dos nosos documentos chegara a ser lido na sesión plenaria e incluso tiñamos constancia de que non eran entregados aos demais grupos políticos cando así se solicitaba. O pasado venres 29 de decembro de 2006, ás 20:52 horas aproximadamente, a Sra. Alcaldesa do Concello de Cuntis procedía a ler o documento rexistrado polo Fervedoiro o 20 de novembro deste pasado ano e no que se solicitaba a retirada da simboloxía fascista que fica nas nosas terras.
As reaccións dos distintos grupos municipais (agás a do BNG, pois o seu representante non estaba presente e non puidemos coñecela) foron tal que así:
PP. "nós abstémonos!" Parece como se chegaran ordes dende moi arriba que lles "obrigaran" aos representantes conservadores a pronunciarse deste xeito automaticamente ao escoitar algo relacionado con "memoria histórica". A Sra. Alcaldesa tivo que ilustrar á concelleira do Partido Popular dicíndolle que iso non se votaba (...), mais ela rexeitou expresar calquera outra opinión.
ADDC. O representante desta agrupación amosou a súa conformidade coa iniciativa argumentando que "agora hai unha fiebre por quitar todos eses símbolos, e porque non imos facelo nós tamén?". Contundente razoamento.
PSOE. "non podemos decidir á lixeira sen consultar a Patrimonio, pois algún dos elementos citados aí están catalogados". Como adoita ser costume neste grupo municipal, a legalidade sempre por diante!
Finalmente, a Sra. Alcaldesa pechou o tema dicindo que era parte do noso pasado "por moito que nos pesara ás veces". Como O Fervedoiro non puido expresar alí a súa opinión, por se interesa, repetimos que é preciso coñecer o noso pasado e tamén os erros deste para evitar que se repita nun futuro, é preciso amosarllo aos máis cativos (e a todos e todas en xeral) sen falsidades ou ataques de desmemoria, chamándolle a cadaquén polo seu nome, é preciso tamén rematar coas honras aos asasinos e opresores. Tan só isto é o que vén a solicitar O Fervedoiro.
